Fitting the Side Details
Steps 1-3
Press the posts of the Shoulder Seal firmly into these holes:
Steps 3-6
Align the two notches of the Side Internal Plate with the two tabs of the Side External Grille and press together. The two lugs should fit up through the holes, as shown:
Steps 7-8
Fit the tabs and posts of this assembly into the matching slots of the Left Side Body Panel and press it all into place:
Step 9
Secure this into place from behind the panel with two (2) 2×4 mm black screws:
Steps 10-12
Align the four posts of the Rear External Grille with the holes/notches of the Rear Internal Plate, and press them together as shown:
Steps 13-14
Fit this assembly into the Left Side Body Panel as shown, aligning the posts to the holes:

Secure this into place from behind the panel with four (4) 2.3×6 mm black screws.
NOTE: The magazine lists the wrong screw size here (2×6 mm). We should use 2.3×6 mm screws:
Joining the Rear Panels
Step 1
Align the three Panel Connectors to these matching posts along the side of the Left Side Body Panel, with the arrows on the Panel Connectors facing AWAY from the panel as shown:
Steps 2-4
Secure the Panel Connectors to the posts on the back of the panel using three (3) 2.3×6 mm black flanged screws, one for each:

Retrieve your body panel assembly from Issue 72. Fit these two panels together, aligning all three connectors and posts as shown:

Secure the Panel Connectors to the second panel with three (3) 2.3×6 mm black flanged screws:
Thoughts
The rear body panel section of R2-D2 is now complete (minus a few plugs for the screw holes). We return to the internal ring frame in the next issue and start on the front body panels in Issue 76.

step 15 should be 2×6 mm black screws
The magazine is incorrect on this one. The screws supplied in Issue 73 cover the needs of Issues 73, 74, and 75 leaving one spare screw of each size. There are no 2×6 mm screws supplied in Issue 73. I used the supplied 2.3x6mm screws in Step 15.
I tried and tried to do the 2.3 but couldn’t get them to fit. I had a bunch of 2 from earlier issues that did the trick.
